The Danish Film Institute has launched stumfilm.dk – Streaming and Film Archaeology Site. More than 400 films from the 1897–1928 period are continuously restored, digitized and made available for free streaming.

The Danish Film Institute is the national agency responsible for supporting and encouraging film and cinema culture and for conserving these in the national interest. The department Archive & Cinematheque is responsible for the preservation and restoration of film and documentation material about film. It collects film and television literature, conducts scientific research and makes the catalogue of films accessible to the public.
